The ‘Matriarch Chair’ is the companion chair to the ‘Parents Chair’. Whether you are looking for armed dining chairs, a desk chair or an accent chair, the ‘Matriarch’ is always there to make a statement and to offer a comfortable place to rest. This chair is handmade using traditional mortise and tenon joinery providing a light chair that is also strong. The seat is woven Danish cord. This chair is made with all natural materials, local hardwoods. It is designed to be used, abused, repaired and ultimately returned to the earth after generations of use.  Each chair is made to order with a minimum lead time of two weeks. This chair is available in ash (pictured), walnut(+$50), white oak(+$50) or cherry(+$25). If there is another wood you are interested in please contact me we can discuss further customization.
